FUNDING

The Park-To-Park Trail has been very fortunate to have had the support of the North Ontario Heritage Fund, who has provided capital funding as well as ongoing staffing grants to assist with trail development. The Trillium Foundation, the HRDC, Active 2010, and FedNor have in the past provided funding for particular projects, administrative costs and salaries which have enabled staff to deliver the capital component, and build a good foundation. Now that the trail is, for the most part, completed the challenge is to secure ongoing support and sustainability to ensure Park-To-Park’s staff is able to maintain the trail and all its infrasture.
